Type of change: Termination of NOAA-18 and NOAA-19 ATOVS Sounding Products onJanuary 15, 2014
The NOAA-18 and NOAA-19 ATOVS Sounding capability will be replaced with a Metop-A/Metop-B and SNPP (NOAA Unique CrIS/ ATMS Product System (NUCAPS)) capabilities in order to optimize and accommodate new soundings missions within NOAA/NESDIS. NESDIS intends to terminate the NOAA-18 and NOAA-19 ATOVS sounding products generation and dissemination on January 15, 2013.
