Predicting future weather requires timely and accurate data about present conditions. The Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite - and the coming satellites of the NOAA's JPSS satellite constellation - provide this information and serve as the backbone of the weather forecasts we rely on every day.
