Type of change: Change of service location
The NCEI Data Access Branch will be changing the access location for Integrated Surface Data (ISD) and ISDLite. ISD also known as Global Hourly will be available through a web accessible folder (WAF). FTP services will no longer be available as an increasing number of popular browsers drop default FTP support.
Integrated Surface Data Changes:
- WAF link https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/pub/data/noaa/ will change to https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/global-hourly/ Useful ISD documentation will be available under the ./doc folder. The ./access folder will have station csv formatted files by year. The ./archive folder will contain an ./isd and a ./csv folder. These will have tarred staton files by year for ISD formatted and CSV formatted data.
- ISD Data Access (https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/isd/data-access) a) HTTPS/WAF access ISDLite will change to ISDLite b) FTP access ISD/Global Hourly (ftp://ftp.ncei.noaa.gov/pub/data/noaa/) will no longer be available. c) FTP access Global Summary of the Day (ftp://ftp.ncei.noaa.gov/pub/data/noaa/) will no longer be availabled) FTP access ISDLite will no longer be available
