NOAA’s GOES-S spacecraft, the next in a series of advanced weather satellites, arrives at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center aboard a U.S. Air Force C-5 Super Galaxy aircraft. The satellite’s arrival at the Florida spaceport, followed by its move into the Astrotech Space Operations processing facility in nearby Titusville, signal the start of the final journey to T-zero. GOES-S is slated to launch in March 2018 aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
