Description:
NESDIS plans to discontinue the production of the operational GOES-R Downward Shortwave Radiation (DSR) and Reflected Shortwave Radiation (RSR) products for the CONUS and Mesoscale Sectors only. At the same time, NESDIS will increase the Full Disk spatial resolution from 50 km (DSR) and 25 km (RSR) to 2 km for both and the increase the temporal resolution from 60 to 10 minutes. NESDIS is not aware of any users of the CONUS or Mesoscale DSR or RSR products.
Product retirement is planned for April 15, 2024
