Todd Harding

Todd Harding is the Acting Chief of Staff for NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS).  In this capacity, he manages the program, policy, and communication teams that support the Assistant Administrator, and serves as the NOAA Agency lead for launch guest and communications activities related to satellite launches. 

Prior to joining NOAA in 2008, Mr. Harding served as senior advisor to the first Under Secretary for Science at the U.S. Department of Energy. During this time, he was the lead U.S. negotiator for ITER, a $10 billion international science experiment, designed to test the feasibility of fusion energy. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Harding held multiple positions at the Department of Energy related to their science office and national laboratories.

Mr. Harding earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Centre College in 2000. He is the recipient of the Department of Commerce Gold Award, the NOAA Silver Sherman Award, and multiple honors from the Department of Energy, including the Exceptional Service Award and the Secretary of Energy’s Distinguished Service Award.
