Description:

The NCEI Data Access Branch will be transitioning online service for the GHCNd aka Daily Summaries from Climate Data Online v2 to Common Access. GIS services and the bulk download location will not change.

Global Historical Climate Network daily (GHCNd) Data 

  1. The web application access link will be replaced by Common Access
  2. The GIS layer for GHCNd stations will be available https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/maps/daily/
  3. GHCNd bulk download will still be available https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/

The planned services retirement date is August 31, 2023. To file an appeal, please contact Rich.Baldwin@noaa.gov by June 1, 2023.
