The powerful midlatitude #BombCyclone has several meso-vortices spinning within its center, the GOES East ABI captured these images of the storm every minute. This animation was created with the Advanced Baseline Imager's (ABI) Band 2 and shows how the increased resolution offered by ABI is providing meteorologists with a more detailed look at the characteristics and structure of clouds. The reference to "1-minute" imagery refers to the frequency with which GOES-16's Advanced Baseline Imager captures an image of the storm.
