Special Information for Breast Cancer Survivors
|
Participants may register as a survivor if they themselves have been diagnosed with breast cancer and they wish to be recognized as a breast cancer survivor by wearing a pink bib and pink t-shirt. Survivors receive both a pink T-shirt and a white T-shirt, and a pink Race bib.Survivors are entitled to receive a survivor goodie bag, filled with coupons and samples provided by Komen National Race for the Cure sponsors. You must have your pink survivor bib with you to pick up your survivor goodie bag (1 bag per survivor) at one of the following locations at the dates and times shown:
- Thursday, May 29 th from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Friday, May 30 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Washington Post, 1150 15 th Street, NW (Survivor Registration) Thursday, June 5th from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Friday, June 6th from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Department of Commerce (Late Registration)
- Sat. June 7 th (Race Day) at the Survivor Goodie Bag Tent on the National Mall.
Special survivor activities on Race Day, Sat. June 7th:
- Survivor sunrise breakfast – 6:30 a.m. at the Survivor Tent on the National Mall (at 3 rd St., NW) Best dressed survivor contest (takes place during the sunrise survivor breakfast) Parade of Pink – 7:30 a.m. on the National Mall (at 3 rd St., NW) All survivor bib numbers are automatically entered in drawings for
- a Ford Focus round-trip airlines ticket for one on American Airlines/American Eagle to any destination in the contiguous U.S.
- Winners need not be present for the drawing
