Please consider joining fellow NOAA employees, contractors, friends, and family by registering as part of NOAA's team in the Komen National Race for the Cure® on Saturday June 7, 2008.  Proceeds from the Race support breast cancer research, education, screening, outreach, and treatment programs.  This will be the 10th year NOAA's team, "Running with the Currents" has participated in the National Race for the Cure.  In 2007, our team had 218 team members and raised $7,021.07!

Some members of our team run the 5 kilometers (3.2 miles), but most walk.  If you are unable to join us on Race Day, consider registering to Sleep in for the Cure or making a pledge or donation through a colleague.

Notes to NOAA Team Members:

- A NOAA team photo will be taken on Race Day, in front of the Department of Commerce Building (HCHB), on the 14th Street side, at 7:30am.
- Additional Race Day details
- The Race will be held, rain or shine.
- Arriving by Metro is strongly recommended. Metro opens at 5 a.m. on Race Day
- Water is available on the Race route, but you may want to bring your own.
- Bring your NOAA ID with you and you can enter HCHB to freshen up before or after the Race
